Will this plugin run on my system?
If you have a normal modern Mac/Windows computer with a recent OS it will definitely work! Generally speaking all UA plugins, even G8 our first release, work on the latest Mac/Windows machine you purchase new from the store. It's much more likely that the system specs we wrote on the website are out of date than the plugin itself.
We also support machines as far back as we possibly can. This note is being written in 2025 on a 2013 Macbook Pro on Mojave (2018), happily running our latest releases. Stability, longevity, and consistency are fundamentally important to us. As of today in 2025 you can load a preset made with G8 in 2014, load it on a new computer, and it will sound the same as it did over a decade prior. We're proud of that and hope to keep it going as long as possible.
Does X plugin run on Apple Silicon?
Yes! 100% Yes. And it will work on Intel Macs and in Rosetta mode as well. We were one of the first companies to do Universal Binary mac builds and did an update to support this on every one of our products. You will be able to run our plugins in your Mac DAW whether or not it's running in Rosetta.

These are by far the most common question we receive and you're not alone! We often have trouble finding them ourselves so you're in good company. Below will serve as a public version of the "UA Folder Path Bible." We will try to keep it updated and consistent.
Mac has become especially problematic as they decided on the new OS updates to make the user Library folder hidden by default. Sorry for the annoyance! In order to help with this we added an "Open User Presets Folder" button to the menu in our plugins, but sometimes it doesn't open directly as the folder is still hidden. Read about how to un-hide your user Library folder. (If you're reading this and you happen to work for Apple, please, we're begging you, stop infantilizing your users and making decisions that are "smart but not wise.")

How Do I Activate the Plugin I Bought From You?!!!!!
All plugin purchases from the Unfiltered Audio website come with a voucher that must be redeemed on the Plugin Alliance website. All Unfiltered Audio plugins require a Plugin Alliance account for activation. The Plugin Alliance Support Page has the answers to most activation questions.
